Architectural Department
SWA Architecture and Master planning department has undertaken many large size commercial, hotels, offices & residential developments.

Structural Department
The scope of works covers from the design concept stages and preparation of the construction drawings for site execution. During this process value engineering study for the project will be implemented for the preliminary structural cost of the project. Attend site coordination meeting and do site inspection as required.

Electrical Department
Electrical Engineers provide a range of engineering and management services to construction development. Most of our Electrical Engineers are Grade "A", highly qualified trades team and an experienced in detailed design and construction management, well positioned to continue and provides client with full suite of engineering services.
Mechanical Department
Southwest, Mechanical department is a highly technical engineering team, dealing with designing and supervising of HVAC, plumbing and fire fighting systems. Our engineering team has high skills and experience in building systems engineering technology.

Document Control Department
SWA Document Control Department procedures cover all formal documentation, Transmittals, Faxes, emails, etc.. for incoming and outgoing. All the project correspondences shall pass through the Document Control Department where it will be registered, get reference number and filed in both hard and soft copies, then distributed to the concerned department.
Documents related to project at the design stage, once completed and delivered to the client all related design reports, design drawings and tender documents are filed for future reference in both hard and soft copies for the required period as per the professional service agreement 1984 (PSA). Projects closing documents after construction completion and submittal to the owner, copies of which shall be reviewed, sorted and filed as organizational assets to be used in the future.
QA/QC Department
Design coordination by checking the drawings of all departments; architectural/structural/electrical/mechanical (plumbing-drainage-HVAC) & interior design drawings; to issue the drawings for construction to the site. Coordination of all site queries, shop drawings from (sub-)contractors and requests from the site engineers for projects under construction.
Coordination between SWA and sub-consultants for interior design, lighting design, kitchen design and landscape design.
Follow up the approvals from governmental authorities concerning the changes on request of the client/contractor for projects under construction. Coordination of the preliminary works and participation on exhibitions; Libya Build 2009-6th International Building & Construction Exhibition, May 09
QS & Tendering Department
DURING PRE-CONTRACT QS SERVICES for the client:
This department prepares particular conditions of contract and sub-contract, Instruction to renderers and forms of tender as stated in table 6 section 10, clause 6.3 of PSA(professional Service Agreement) of Qatar 1984 edition. In this department we see to it that entire works is included in the bill of quantities, including MEP, structural, architectural building works. These shall be prepared in accordance with the standard method of measurements. Submit a complete set of detail drawings, specs, and tender documents. Assist the client in listing bidders and replying to bid bulletins. Provide details of the experience, resources and commitments of prospective bidders. Assist the client to obtain clarification and to consider alternative proposed by tenderers. Convert the tender documents into priced contract documents by incorporating any alterations made by circular letter and by incorporating any accepted qualifications and alternatives and any changes arising from the negotiations.
POST CONTRACT QS SERVICES:
This department advises the client matters regarding the requirements and interpretation of the contract. Visit the site and examine the works from time to time and keep records as necessary for reference regarding prices to be agreed and regarding claims. Take particulars and submit a monthly statement to the client. Assist the client in preparation of circulars and variation orders.
Supervision and Project Management Department
Generally, site supervision shall follow the professional service agreement 1984 (PSA) for general and site supervision; unless, otherwise indicated by the agreement between South West Architecture and the client.
